No icon for Rhythmbox Playback Stopped (2.18b)

Postby salvador on Wed Jul 25, 2007 5:10 pm

Hello,

There is no tray icon for Rhythmbox when the playback is stopped. The regular icon when being played is working fine.

Should I paste my package list here?

Best Regards

S.

Seems to be a bug in Rhythmbox. I have the same problem no matter what icon set I use. I've been looking at their changelog and Rhythmbox uses the application icon when playing and /usr/share/rhythmbox/icons/hicolor/16x16/status/rhythmbox-notplaying.png when not playing. The problem is that it's not even loading their own icon... :?

Hmm, that's bad. Maybe we should report the bug upstream?

I've had to patch this sort of thing in RB before. I'll try to take a look at it soon.

I have fixed this problem. It is due to hicolor-icon-theme not being at the newest version.

Slackware 12.0 ships with version 0.9. It needs to be updated to 0.10 then the not playing icon will appear.

I have built a package to fix it.

Thanks

I downloaded and upgraded the package, and it fixed the problem.

Thanks.

This icon set update should take care of the missing icon... though it still requires hicolor-icon-theme 0.10 for it to work. :)
